Growing Into You!™: Sex & Reproduction
Join us for an interactive workshop that will help your family have shame-free talks about sex, consent, and reproduction.
Through a mix of activities, videos, breakout rooms, and fun games- guided by trained educators- families of tweens and young teens (ages 10-14) will learn how to take the taboo out of talks about sex, sexual consent, and where babies come from. Our facilitators use a combination of community-based activities, engaging the entire group of families together, as well as youth/parent activities that allow each individual family to learn and connect more comfortably. Through this approach, our Growing Into You!™ family-style, gender-inclusive workshops reinforce the power of family and community support systems to disrupt taboos.
Participants will:
💡Learn how to define sex and reproduction through an inclusive, consent-conscious, and sex-positive lens
💡Foster shame-free ways to talk about sex more comfortably as a family
💡Understand the importance of consent in both everyday life and within the context of sex
💡Get honest answers, from highly-skilled educators, without taboo
At least one young person, age 10-14, and one parent/caregiver must be present to participate. Registration cost is $40 USD per family. As a gift for attending, families also receive access to a digital guide with activities, conversation starters, and additional resources to support the continued talks and learning.
